Big things from little things grow

The year before this video … there were no sailboats in Albay.

This is Albay early 2022. What a great thing for Tourism and local employment!

Vision!

Two years ago several people in Albay decided that they would like to start a yacht club. They rounded up friends and helpers and built 12 Oz Geese.

They used kits provided by PHBYC as part of the Family Boatbuilding Weekend program. But because of Covid they built the boats at their homes supported by the Oz Goose building videos here and instructors available via social media to answer questions promptly. The kits were purchased at reduced cost as part of the Family Boatbuilding Weekend Project.

Those boats are out sailing several times a week. They are used for fun racing, sightseeing (I saw a whaleshark go right by my boat) and for kids to learn sailing.
